Two: Add motion detection lights – These are a great way to make burglars think twice about breaking into your home. Plus, this gives you extra lighting when you come home after dark. This will help protect you when you get home because many burglars don’t want to be seen, so they won’t go anywhere there are lights that will allow them to be seen.

Three: Make it harder for burglars to get into your home. You don’t want to make it hard for you or your family to get into your home, just burglars. You can easily do this by adding good dead bolts to each door that gives access to the inside of your home. The old door locks can easily be picked or broken into using a credit card. So, replace the old locks and make sure you have heavy dead bolts locks installed on your doors. You also want to replace all of the old locks on your windows with ones that are not easy to get unlocked from the outside.

Four: Add noise to your home – When a burglar is trying to get into a home, if they hear a noise of some type that will alert others to their presence then they will usually move onto another house that doesn’t have this danger to them being caught. You can add noise to your home security with a good security system, with a dog or both. The more noise you can add to your home the better your home security basics will work to protect it.
